SharePoint Consulting in Atlanta for Teams Outgrowing Their File Shares
Migration, governance, custom development, and Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness for Atlanta organizations, delivered by Sunflower Lab's Microsoft-certified engineers from our Peachtree Street NE office, so SharePoint becomes the reliable knowledge layer your Power Platform and AI agents run on.
You've been on Microsoft 365 for 3+ years. Are you actually getting the benefits?
Outside parties hold your files
Architects, subcontractors, outside counsel, and franchisees each need access to something. Guest links pile up, never expire, and nobody can list who still has them.
Three storage tools, one company
Box, Google Drive, and SharePoint each hold part of the record after years of team-by-team buying, and nobody can say which copy is current.
Departments built their own sites
Every division set up its own sites and Teams, so libraries are duplicated, owners are missing, and there are no naming rules.
Copilot licenses came before the cleanup
The licenses are bought, but stale sites and open permissions mean Microsoft 365 Copilot will answer confidently and wrong.

Rebuild the DMS →Workflow Automation
Power Automate flows on SharePoint lists for approvals, inspections, vendor onboarding, invoice routing.
Automate a workflow →SharePoint, Power Platform, and Copilot: one team
- Copilot grounding. Microsoft 365 Copilot uses SharePoint as its top grounding source. Messy sites mean messy answers.
- Power Automate on lists. Approvals, inspections, vendor workflows. Proven at Dominion Engineering.
- Power Apps on top. SharePoint lists become mobile-friendly internal tools. Proven at AMOT and MAI.
- Power BI source of truth. SharePoint as a sanctioned data source for governed reporting.
- SharePoint Agents and Copilot Agents. Custom agents grounded in your tenant with permission awareness.
SharePoint + Power BI: One Governed Data Layer, Not Five Spreadsheets
What we build
- Power BI dashboards sourced directly from SharePoint lists and document metadata
- Row-level security mapped to existing SharePoint permission groups
- Branch, department, or clinician-level views from one governed dataset
- Automatic flags for outliers: cost overruns, overdue approvals, missing documents
Real SharePoint work: named clients, real numbers
Dominion Engineering: 60 hours a month, returned
A Nuclear Electric Power Generation company partnered with Allied Power. Manual product receipt and inspection workflow ate about 60 hours every month, with data spread across Dynamics 365, Excel, and QuickBase. What we built: SharePoint Dashboard, Power Automate flows triggered by Dynamics 365 receipts, auto-attachment from Teams folders to the right Purchase Order in SharePoint, and filtered SharePoint URLs so vendors see only their POs.
Real-time labor & margin visibility across a multi-branch pediatric practice
Connect Pediatrics had no patient-level visibility into revenue, payroll cost, labor %, staffing %, overtime exposure, or outliers. This led to rising labor cost, decreasing staffing efficiency, and margin risk buried in manual reports. We built a Power BI dashboard on SharePoint with branch, patient, and clinician-level views, plus outlier detection for high labor %, excessive overtime, and low staffing.

Discuss Support →SharePoint consulting in Atlanta: answers to the 6 questions buyers ask
Our Atlanta university has hundreds of department-built SharePoint sites and student-worker accounts. Can consulting bring that under control?
Yes, and the fix is structural rather than a one-time cleanup. Sunflower Lab starts with a site inventory that flags orphaned sites, sites with no named owner, and sites shared with the whole organization. We then set up hub sites (parent sites that group related departments under one navigation and one policy set), site provisioning that requires an owner, and access reviews timed to the academic calendar so student-worker permissions expire when the term ends. Because higher-education tenants carry large numbers of student and adjunct accounts, we scope the first phase to one college or division, then repeat the pattern.
Scope a governance review →How does SharePoint handle drawings, RFIs, and submittals for an Atlanta construction or real estate firm working with outside architects and subcontractors?
Each project gets its own SharePoint site built from a fixed template with metadata for document type, discipline, revision, and status. Outside architects, engineers, and subcontractors sign in as guests (Microsoft Entra B2B, the method for giving people outside your company a controlled login) limited to that one project site, with sharing links that expire. Submittal and change-order approvals run as Power Automate flows on a SharePoint list, so every request has a named owner and a timestamp instead of sitting in an inbox. This is the same routing pattern built for Dominion Engineering above. At closeout the site is archived, not deleted, so warranty documents stay retrievable.
Scope a project site template →Our Atlanta company already bought Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. Can we turn Copilot on before SharePoint is cleaned up?
Partly. Before a full cleanup, Sunflower Lab applies interim controls: Restricted Content Discovery keeps chosen sites out of Copilot and search results, and the data access governance reports in SharePoint Advanced Management (Microsoft's admin toolset for large tenants) show which sites are open to everyone in the company. That lets a pilot group start on approved content. Full readiness still means named site owners, sensitivity labels, and clean metadata on the sites Copilot draws from, which is the work a SharePoint Health Check maps out at $5,000 to $10,000. We recommend one pilot department before any Atlanta-wide rollout.
Get a Copilot readiness review →Our Atlanta team stores files in Box or Google Drive. What happens to sharing links, comments, and version history when we move to SharePoint?
Files and folder structure move cleanly, but the behavior around them has to be mapped first. Sunflower Lab inventories every shared link and outside collaborator before migration, because Box and Google Drive links stop working once the source account closes. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides are converted to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, so we test formulas and formatting on a sample set. Box collaborator roles are rebuilt as SharePoint permission groups instead of copied one to one. Migrations run 4 to 10 weeks depending on volume, and the old system stays read-only until sign-off, so teams keep working through cutover.
Get my migration timeline →Can SharePoint serve as the policy and communications hub for an Atlanta restaurant, hospitality, or retail brand whose staff rarely sit at a desk?
Yes, if the site is designed for frontline users instead of office users. Frontline staff on Microsoft 365 F-series licenses can read SharePoint content and use Teams on a phone, so we build a mobile-first news and policy site with one landing page per role rather than a folder tree. Menus, safety procedures, and franchise operations manuals sit in libraries tagged by brand, location, and effective date, and a Power Automate approval flow retires the old version when a new one is published. Franchise groups get one site per operator, with sharing limited to that operator. Power Apps can add store checklists on top.
Scope a frontline hub →Can SharePoint enforce ethical walls between client teams at an Atlanta law, accounting, or consulting firm?
Yes. Each client matter gets its own SharePoint site, with access held in a security group for the engagement team rather than the whole firm. Where two teams must never see each other's work, Microsoft Purview Information Barriers (a Microsoft 365 setting that stops defined groups from finding or sharing with one another) enforces the wall across SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Sensitivity labels mark privileged documents, and retention labels hold matter files for the period your firm policy sets. We document the wall design so your general counsel or risk officer can review it. This is usually scoped as a focused build, priced as shown above.
